5/4 – The Hugs – Indie Pop – Portland, OR
Drawing inspiration from their vibrant surroundings (Portland, OR and rural parts of the Oregon coast) and the eclectic energy of Portland, The Hugs have crafted an album that effortlessly combines the best elements of electronic music with their already signature pop sound. Seamlessly fusing catchy hooks, dreamy synthesizers, and infectious rhythms, their music creates an irresistible sonic-experience that will keep you hooked from the very first note.
5/11 – Brown Calculus – Neo Soul – Portland, OR
Brown Calculus is an intergalactic duo who explore the soundscapes of the post-soul movement. Keyboardist and beat maker, Brown Calvin, and singer/songwriter, Brown Alice, are Geminis, illuminating the sacredness of Black music, seeking to bring about community on Earth and beyond. They reveal the connection between complicated time signatures and Black divinity, with a cosmic sound that remains grounded. Sharing the same body in their past lives, they perform with melanated synergy.
5/18 – The Apricots – Indie Rock – Portland, OR
The Apricots are an indie-folk-rock band that thrives on vocal harmony. At their core, they’re just a group of best friends that have found purpose in this band. Their songs will make you swoon one minute and groove the next.
5/25 – Jeshua Marshall & The Flood – Americana – Bend, OR
Jeshua started the Americana Punk band Larry And HIs Flask with his brother Jamin 20 Years ago. In LAHF and on his own Jeshua toured Europe 12 times, did the Vans Warped tour, played in every state in the US and every province in Canada. He has played countless festivals, concerts, and street corners. Now, as a solo artist, all of those influences have been channeled into a soulful, upbeat gospel sound, but one driven by groove-some, funky rhythms, slick guitar licks and mature vocal tones.
6/1 – The Dead & Down – Roots Rock – Bozeman, MT
The Dead & Down are an exploratory roots-rock band inspired as much by the vast landscapes and dramatic mountain ranges of their Montana home as they are by the myriad musical influences that weave through their sound. Based around the introspective songwriting and dusty vocals of frontman Taylor Burlage, the band navigates sonic trails between rust-flecked alt country and swampy rock ‘n’ roll, with detours through psychedelia and genre-bending experimentation.
6/8 – Kate Dinsmore – Americana Songwriter – Seattle, WA
A dynamic performer and vocalist, Dinsmore brings her songs to the stage with an undeniable presence. Her music is powerful and emotional, with influences ranging from Jazz to Rock to Americana. Dinsmore’s performances quickly gained a following in Seattle, allowing her to open for notable artists such as Pat Benatar, Colin Hay, and the Dip.
6/15 – Dhejemke – Jazz fusion/jam band – Grand Forks, ND
DHEJEMKE (Dey-jem-kay) is a spelling correction, and now it’s a band from North Dakota. With Jazz, Punk, Funk, R’n’B, and pop influences, Dhejemke is a collective of musicians working to express thought provoking nerdy songs to bob your head too. Their newest single “For The Record” is about having friends that remind you that you’re just a human at your lowest points. If anyone could walk away with a smile or a good time, we did it!
6/22 – Panda Conspiracy – Funk/Reggae/Rock – Seattle, WA
Known for kicking out the jams at festivals and clubs from San Francisco to Bellingham, The Everett Herald called them a “high energy party band” and they’ve fully embraced that vibe! With a few different lineups all bringing killer grooves over the years, they throw a party everywhere they play.
6/29 – Just Clark – Americana folk – Portland, OR
Just Clark is a singer-songwriter reviving the roots of American-made music. Digging into a woody sound that echoes through the hollers, Clark’s music embodies a timeless resonance that harks back to the cherished sounds of classic Americana folk. From poet to picker, the native Texan conjures a sound as bright as the Lonestar herself.
